First Day of School

After seeing the children to their classrooms, we ask all parents to join us for fika on the first day of school, September 11. This will give us a chance to give you important and allow us to get to know each other and celebrate the beginning of another school year!

Parent Help in the Classroom

We ask that each family have a Swedish-speaking parent volunteer as parent helper one or more times during the school year (depending on class enrollment).  For förskolan families, the parent helper is also responsible for bringing a snack for the entire class.  (Grupp 1 and Grupp 2 children are responsible to bring their own snacks, if they so choose.)

We will be distributing a parent help sign-up list on the first day of school.  Teachers count on parent helpers and plan their curriculum based on having them in the classroom, so we ask that you adhere to the date(s) for which you sign up.  We will make every effort to send reminder e-mails the week before you are scheduled as a parent helper, and this information will also be available on the Google calendar (you can see it on the main page of the website).
